McCAIN CHANGES GAME PLAN.....AGAIN

McCAIN CHANGES GAME PLAN.....AGAIN

Listen hard and you can almost hear John McCain's campaign hitting the wall, backing up, restarting, and trying desperately not to head to the garage! His and his running mate's attacks on Obama, stoking up the crowd enough to have them screaming out things like "kill him," only worked to drive the McCain ticket farther down in the polls and prompt respected Congressman John Lewis to compare his campaign to that of famous segregationist, George Wallace.

Today, McCain gave a speech with Palin at his side. That gave me a giggle. After Congressman Lewis's remarks, I figure that trusting her out alone was not something McCain was willing to do. She, of course, doesn't remember George Wallace or the civil rights movement though I assume she learned about it in history class. Unless she was busy applying her lipstick. But, John McCain remembers it. He was there. He knows exactly what John Lewis meant.

As for McCain's restart today, he used one of his former tactics - nothing fresh, nothing about relevant issues like the economy. Instead, he, once again, talked about his experience. We know McCain is older than Obama. We know he's been a Senator for a lot of years. We know he is a Viet Nam veteran and a P.O.W. He has told us these things over and over. What he hasn't told us is how he plans to solve the current economic crisis? After all, if he is elected, he will inherit it. Instead, rumors abounded today that he will make an economic policy speech tomorrow. When asked about it, what did the Senator say.....he said, "maybe." MAYBE?

He also pretended to be happy to be behind in the polls and said he had Obama right where he wants him. Where would that be? Battered due to sleazy political rhetoric? Obama supporters feeling like they are living in the 1960's? Wondering when the cities are going to start burning down because of Palin stoking up the crowds with her terrorist talk?

I hope McCain does make his economic speech on Tuesday. It would be refreshing and a lot less scary than what he's been doing.
